Learning to ride a bike

I love riding my tricyle around and around. Tricycles have three wheels. “Tri” means three. Bicycles have two wheels. “Bi” means two. I don’t know how to ride a bicycle yet. But I am learning. So, guess what? My bicycle has four wheels. Two big wheels and two small training wheels. The training wheels help me keep my balance until I get used to the feel of the bicycle. My dad says he is going to take the training wheels off soon so I can try to ride on just two wheels. Oh, I’m excited and nervous.
I always wear a bike helmet when I ride my tricycle or bicycle. I also wear elbow and knee pads just in case I fall down.
