What are tadpoles?
Young frogs are called tadpoles or polliwogs. A tadpole looks more like a fish than a frog. It has a tail and gills for breathing under the water. As the tadpole develops, it grows hind legs and then front legs. Finally, the tail disappears and the frog hops up out of the water as an adult.

I have these squerming creatures in our rain barels I have no clue what they are? I thought they were tadpoles, but I looked up some pictures and they don’t look like them AT ALL.
